Australian State Summaries

QLD: A weather system in the Tasman Sea is teaming up with a high pressure system over the Great Australian Bight to bring chilly winds from the southwest to Queensland, except for the Far North. This setup will stick around for a few days, keeping things cold and calm across the state.

NSW and ACT: A weather system over the southern Tasman Sea is causing unsettled conditions in the southeast, moving eastward by mid-week. High pressure in the west will dominate NSW from Tuesday, with a cold front expected to pass through on Thursday.

VIC: A weak low pressure system near Bass Strait is bringing cold southerly winds to Victoria. It will slowly move east over Monday and Tuesday, with a weak high pressure system moving in from the west on Wednesday and lingering over the state on Thursday.

SA: A cool wind from the southwest is coming to South Australia. A line of low pressure will bring rain to the southern areas today and tomorrow, followed by clear skies from the west. Later in the week, a cold front from the south will bring more rain.

WA: A ridge in the middle of the State will bring strong southeast winds in the morning. The ridge will weaken later, changing the wind direction to the east.

TAS: A weak weather system near Tasmania will bring cool southeasterly winds on Monday before moving away on Tuesday. High pressure will then bring stable conditions on Wednesday and Thursday.

NT: A big high pressure system in the south of Western Australia is pushing winds from the southeast through the Northern Territory.
