Australian State Summaries

QLD: Queensland will have stable weather due to a ridge. A low will develop in the Tasman Sea and move towards the east, bringing cool and dry winds from the south-west to Queensland for a few days.

NSW and ACT: A high pressure system in Western Australia is bringing in some cooler weather to northern New South Wales today. There will be a few cold fronts moving through the southern part of the state, with more to come in the next few days. By next week, expect some stable weather over NSW.

VIC: A cold front from a low pressure system in southern Victoria and Bass Strait will move eastward slowly today. The low is expected to stay in the Tasman Sea near the Victorian and NSW border on Monday, moving eastwards on Tuesday and Wednesday with a weak ridge extending over Victoria by Wednesday.

SA: A cool change is coming from the southwest to the south after a cold front. A trough will bring some rain to the south on Monday and Tuesday, followed by high pressure from the west. Another cold front will pass through the south later in the week.

WA: A high ridge in central parts of the State will cause strong winds from the southeast in the mornings. This ridge will weaken by Monday, leading to winds shifting to the east.

TAS: A weak low-pressure system will move north of Tasmania today, getting stronger over eastern Bass Strait later. It will stay northeast of Tasmania until Tuesday, then move eastward. A ridge will form over the state on Wednesday.

NT: A big high pressure system in southern WA is pushing air towards the Northern Territory, bringing in winds from the southeast.
