NSW and ACT: A bunch of cold fronts linked to a big low pressure system will bring bad weather to Victoria this weekend. The worst front is due on Sunday night. The low pressure system will hang around off the east coast, keeping things gloomy into next week.
VIC: A cold front will weaken as it moves across eastern Victoria today. A stronger front will cross the state on Saturday, bringing low pressure over Bass Strait. The low will move towards the Tasman Sea on Sunday and Monday, with southerly winds lingering over Victoria on Tuesday.
SA: A weak weather system south of the Bight will bring cold fronts to the south on Saturday and Monday, with the strongest front on Saturday. A high pressure system from the west arrives on Tuesday.
WA: A ridge over the southern parts of the state is causing strong winds from the southeast in the morning.
TAS: A cold front will move across the state on Saturday morning, followed by a large area of low pressure on Saturday night and Sunday. A low pressure center will form over eastern Bass Strait on Sunday, moving northeast of Tasmania on Monday and east on Tuesday.
NT: A high pressure system off the coast of Western Australia is causing a ridge to form across the Northern Territory. This will bring cooler southeasterly winds over the weekend, increasing in strength.
