NSW and ACT: Today, there's a strong high pressure system over the state. This weekend, there'll be a few cold fronts passing through, with the strongest one hitting on Sunday into Monday.
VIC: A cold front is coming from the west, while a high pressure system in southern NSW is moving east. The front will weaken as it goes through western and central Victoria this arvo and evening. A stronger front will come through Victoria on Saturday with a low pressure system over Bass Strait. The low will move towards the Tasman Sea on Sunday and Monday.
SA: Today, a cold front will bring cooler temperatures to southern areas. A stronger cold front is expected on Saturday. High pressure will bring settled weather from the west on Sunday, while a low pressure system will linger to the southeast of South Australia on Monday.
WA: A large low pressure system over the east Pilbara and southwest Kimberley coasts is moving out to sea, while a high pressure system is forming in the south. Expect strong winds from the southeast in the morning.
TAS: A strong high-pressure system will bring clear skies to Tasmania today before moving east. A cold front will arrive on Friday evening, bringing rain and gusty winds. Low-pressure systems will bring unsettled weather on Saturday and Sunday, clearing by Monday.
NT: A weak ridge is stretching across the Northern Territory from a high in southeast Australia. A patchy cloud band in the southwest will move east and weaken in the next few days. A trough will pass through the southern NT today, bringing cooler southeasterly winds. A ridge will build in central Australia over the weekend.
