QLD: A big high moving east across southeast Australia brings dry weather to most of Queensland. The high will move south into the Tasman Sea on Friday, bringing moist air back to the east coast. A trough might affect the southern part of the state over the weekend.
NSW and ACT: A strong high pressure system will bring settled weather today and tomorrow. Over the weekend, a few cold fronts will move through, with the strongest one arriving on Sunday or Monday.
VIC: Today, there's a strong high pressure system in western Victoria moving east. On Friday, it'll be over the Tasman Sea with winds turning north. Cold fronts from the west will bring cooler weather over the weekend.
SA: A big cold front is coming through the Bight today. It will move over the south tomorrow, with another cold front hitting on Saturday. High pressure will bring calmer weather from the west on Sunday.
WA: A large area of low pressure near the Pilbara coast will move inland and become weaker by the weekend. Cloud cover over the east Pilbara and southwest Kimberley will also decrease later today.
TAS: A strong high-pressure system near Tasmania will bring clear skies today before shifting eastward on Friday. Expect a cold front to move in from the west on Friday night, followed by rain on Saturday morning. A low-pressure system will pass through Bass Strait on Sunday.
NT: A weak ridge is stretching across the Northern Territory from a high in southeast Australia. There is some patchy cloud cover in the southwest of the NT. A trough will pass through the southern NT on Friday, bringing a southeasterly wind change as a ridge forms in central Australia over the weekend.
