Australian State Summaries

QLD: A high pressure system is causing some showers along the coast in South East Queensland, while the rest of the state stays mostly dry. A trough will bring more showers to southern Queensland today, followed by dry westerly winds. After the trough passes, a cold southerly breeze will bring dry conditions for the rest of the week.

NSW and ACT: A high pressure system off the south coast is bringing a ridge over NSW. A trough will form inland later, connecting with a cold front over the Tasman Sea. This will move eastward, becoming a low pressure system off the northern coast. Strong southerly winds are expected midweek, with another cold front arriving over the weekend.

VIC: A strong high pressure system above the Tasman Sea will bring warm northerly winds to Victoria. A cold front is set to arrive in the southwest later today, moving across the south on Tuesday. Another high pressure system will then move in from mid-week onwards.

SA: A strong high-pressure system is sitting over the Tasman Sea, keeping a ridge of high pressure ahead of a trough that will move over waters south of SA on Monday. Another high-pressure system will extend over the state on Tuesday before moving east towards the Tasman Sea by Thursday, with a cold front approaching from the west.

WA: There is a large area of low pressure near the Pilbara coast, causing clouds to form over the western Pilbara region.

TAS: A cold front is moving across Tasmania from the southwest, reaching the east by Tuesday morning. A high pressure system will move towards Victoria on Wednesday, bringing clear weather to Tasmania by Thursday.

NT: A light ridge is moving into the Territory from the Tasman Sea. A trough from WA will bring northerly winds to southern parts of the Territory from Wednesday. Some clouds are expected in the southwest of the NT later in the week.
