Australian State Summaries

QLD: A weather system brought rain to southern Queensland this morning, with showers expected in South East Queensland. The rest of the state will be mostly dry. More rain is expected on Monday before clearing on Tuesday. Winds will shift to dry westerlies afterwards.

NSW and ACT: A high pressure system over Victoria will bring stable weather, while a trough off the northern coast will weaken. By Monday, a trough will form inland and connect with a cold front over the Tasman Sea. This system will move offshore by Tuesday, followed by a ridge from the Bight.

VIC: A strong high pressure system in eastern Victoria will move east towards the Tasman Sea by this afternoon. A cold front will come to the southwest on Monday, moving across southern Victoria on Tuesday. A new high pressure system will then move across Victoria from mid-week.

SA: A strong high pressure system is moving from Victoria towards the Tasman Sea today. A trough will pass over the waters south of South Australia on Monday, reaching the southeast by late Monday or early Tuesday. Another high pressure system will bring clear skies on Tuesday before moving east on Wednesday.

WA: A high pressure system over southeastern Australia will bring light easterly winds to northern WA this weekend. A trough near the Pilbara coast will bring clouds and possible rain to the western Pilbara starting Monday.

TAS: A strong weather system over Victoria will move east towards the Tasman Sea by late morning. A cold front is set to reach Tasmania tonight and move across the state on Monday. Another high pressure system is predicted to arrive in western Tasmania on Wednesday.

NT: A high pressure system over southeastern Australia is pushing a ridge into the Northern Territory. A trough coming from Western Australia will bring north winds to the southern parts of the Territory from Wednesday night.
