QLD: A high-pressure system in the Great Australian Bight will bring clear skies and warm weather to South Australia, moving eastward towards Tasmania. A band of clouds will bring showers to northern, central, and southern Queensland before moving offshore. A weak trough may bring some rain to southern Queensland early next week.
NSW and ACT: A strong area of high pressure is moving over the state from a high pressure system in the Bight. This will bring stable weather for the rest of the week as the high pressure system moves eastward.
VIC: A strong high pressure system near South Australia will bring cool south to southwesterly winds to Victoria in the coming days. A low pressure system in the Tasman Sea will weaken and move eastward. The high will move over Victoria on Saturday and then head towards the Tasman Sea on Sunday.
SA: A strong high pressure system is sitting over the waters south of the Bight and will stay put for the week. It will then move east before a cold front arrives on the weekend.
WA: A high pressure system in the Bight will bring easterly winds to the north until the weekend. A trough near the west Pilbara coast will strengthen before moving over the region on the weekend, bringing with it a band of clouds. Clouds have cleared from the Kimberley and Interior but some low level clouds remain.
TAS: A wind from the southwest in South Australia will decrease today and Friday as a high pressure system moves closer to Adelaide. The system will then move north towards Tasmania on Saturday and out over the northern Tasman Sea on Sunday.
NT: A big cloud band is bringing unexpected rain to parts of the Northern Territory. It's moving east and will clear out later today. A high pressure system in the Great Australian Bight is sending a cool breeze up north, reaching the Top End by the end of the week, making it less humid.
