Winds will be light to moderate, coming from the southeast to southwest, then turning to the northeast to southeast in the north. Temperatures will be around average in the east and Cape York Peninsula, but below average in other areas and well below average in the far west.
Thursday, 29th May
There will be showers and rain from Richmond to Roma, mostly in the inland areas. It will be mostly sunny in the southwestern part of Cape York Peninsula with some showers in other areas. There may be moderate rainfall in the Central West and Central Highlands. Morning fog is possible in the southeast and in eastern districts from Cooktown to Charters Towers. Temperatures will be near average in Cape York Peninsula and Townsville coast, below average in other areas, and well below average in central and western districts.
Friday, 30th May
There will be showers and rain in the east and central areas south of Charters Towers, while it will be mostly sunny in the west and south of Mount Isa. There may be some showers in other areas. Moderate rainfall is possible in the east between Mackay and Bundaberg, with morning fog in the east between Cooktown and Ingham. Temperatures will be near average in Cape York Peninsula and below average elsewhere, especially in central and western areas.
Saturday, 31st May
There will be light to heavy rain and showers in some areas, particularly in the east coast south of Mackay, with the rain easing later in the day. The west of Longreach will be mostly sunny, while other areas may experience scattered showers. Temperatures will be around normal in Cape York Peninsula, but cooler elsewhere.
