QLD: A ridge in Queensland is getting weaker as a strong trough moves east. The trough will reach the east coast by Wednesday, with a new ridge following. An upper trough and cloud band will bring rain and cooler temperatures to western and interior areas by the end of the week.
NSW and ACT: A big cold front and a trough are moving across the east of the state today. Afterwards, a high pressure system will bring stable weather for the rest of the week.
VIC: Windy conditions expected in Victoria as a front approaches from the north. Low-pressure system near Tasmania will bring more wind and rain. Another front will bring more wind and cooler temperatures to southern Victoria. Expect windy weather with a southwesterly flow for the rest of the week.
SA: A strong storm is currently over Bass Strait and will move towards the Tasman Sea. This storm is causing bad weather in southern SA. A high pressure system will move over the Bight and stay there for the week before moving east next weekend.
WA: A big band of clouds is sitting over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, and North Interior, causing unexpected rain and some heavy downpours. It should clear up by early Wednesday.
TAS: A big low pressure system is moving through Bass Strait. Tasmania will get windy from late morning as the low moves east. The wind will keep going until Thursday, when a high pressure system will move over western Victoria.
NT: A weak ridge in the Territory will bring more humidity and showers in the north. Troughs in the south will bring rain for a few days, with heaviest falls today in central districts. High pressure in the Bight will bring cool temperatures to central Australia.
