NSW and ACT: A strong high pressure system is sitting over eastern NSW while a cold front is heading towards the far west. The front and a trough will move across NSW today and tomorrow before moving away. A high pressure system will bring stable weather for a few days, with potential for new weather in early June.
VIC: A strong wind from the north is hitting Victoria as a cold front moves in from the west. The front will pass over the state today and then move onto Tasmania on Tuesday. After the front passes, a cool wind from the southwest will stick around for a few days.
SA: A strong cold front passed through the southern parts of the state on Monday morning, bringing strong winds from the west to southwest. A trough will move south on Monday night. A high pressure system will move towards the Bight on Tuesday, bringing calmer conditions and southerly winds. The high will stay in the area until Thursday.
WA: A large area of low pressure is sitting over the northern part of the state. A band of clouds is getting thicker in the far northeast Pilbara, southern Kimberley, and North Interior. This band of clouds may cause unexpected rain, possibly with some heavy downpours, but should clear by Wednesday.
TAS: Today, a cold front will move across the state, bringing cooler temperatures. A low-pressure system will pass through Bass Strait tonight and tomorrow morning. This will create a southwesterly wind over Tasmania. The wind will continue into Wednesday and Thursday as a high-pressure system builds in the Bight.
NT: A weak ridge from the east will bring more humidity and showers to the north of the Territory. A series of troughs will pass through the south, bringing rain that will last a few days. Cooler temperatures will arrive in central Australia as high pressure builds in the Bight.
