Today, there will be some clouds in the Gulf Country and northern interior west of Georgetown, as well as the east coast south of Mackay. There will be a few showers in other areas, with more scattered showers in the southern interior west of Goondiwindi and the northeast tropical coast north of Townsville. Showers may become more widespread at times in the Wet Tropics. There could be some morning fog in the Hinchinbrook region. Temperatures will be higher than usual in most of the state, but around average in the Peninsula district.
Tuesday, 27th May
Today, there will be scattered showers in western and southern parts of the state, with isolated showers on the east coast and in the southeast. There may be morning fog in the east between Tully and Rockhampton. Winds will be fresh from the west to southeast in South East Queensland. Temperatures will be higher than usual in the east and lower in the southwest and southern interior.
Wednesday, 28th May
Clouds will be building up today with some scattered showers expected in the western parts of the country. These showers will move towards the central and southern regions as the day progresses. There may be widespread showers and even some rain in the far southwest. There could also be isolated showers along the east coast north of Townsville. Other areas will be partly cloudy. Temperatures will be higher than usual in northeastern Queensland, lower than usual in other areas, and much lower than usual in the southwest.
Thursday, 29th May
Over the next few days, there will be cloudy skies with some rain in southern and central Queensland. The rain will move westward and clear by Saturday. There will be widespread showers and possible areas of heavy rain in the interior on Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will be near average in the northeast, below average in other areas, and significantly lower in the interior.
