Australian State Summaries

QLD: A high pressure system over Queensland will bring dry and cool southerly winds, leading to sunny weather. A low pressure system near the central NSW coast will increase winds along the southern QLD coast, causing isolated showers in the south.

NSW and ACT: A strong high pressure system in the southwest is pushing a line of high pressure over the south and southwest. A trough in the north will shift northwards, bringing heavy rain and strong winds to the central and northern coast. This trough is expected to linger, causing more rain in the east.

SA: A strong weather system near Kangaroo Island will shift towards eastern Victoria and then move over the Tasman Sea. Expect a cold front to bring cooler weather to coastal areas on Wednesday morning, followed by another high pressure system next week. Another cold front is expected next weekend.

WA: A line of high ground down south will keep pushing winds from the east over the top of Western Australia, getting stronger and gusty in the mornings. Some scattered clouds could bring a bit of light rain to areas in the Kimberley and North Interior starting on Wednesday.

TAS: A strong high pressure system over the Bight will move east, bringing a ridge over the state today. The ridge will linger over northern Tasmania and Victoria. The high will shift to the Tasman Sea on Tuesday, bringing a northwest wind before a weak trough arrives on Wednesday. A ridge will follow on Thursday.

NT: A strong high pressure system in the Great Australian Bight is bringing dry and cool winds from the southeast to the Northern Territory. The high will shift eastward today, with another high moving in on Tuesday to keep the ridge over the Territory. Some areas may see patchy clouds later in the week.
