NSW and ACT: A strong high-pressure system over the Tasman Sea is bringing wet weather to the east coast of the state. Expect occasional showers and fresh southerly winds to develop over the weekend as a cold front moves through the area.
VIC: A high pressure system is over Victoria, bringing stable weather. A trough will move south of the state, bringing cooler southerly winds. Another high pressure system will bring more cool weather on Wednesday. A cold front will bring more change on Friday.
SA: A strong high pressure system near the southeast coast is causing stable weather in South Australia. Some weak troughs will pass through the southeast region late today and tomorrow. A new high pressure system in the west will bring more stable conditions as it moves eastward throughout the week.
WA: A line of high ground in the south will keep strong winds blowing from the east over the northern areas of the state. These winds will be fresh and occasionally gusty during the mornings.
TAS: A weak high pressure system is over the state. A cold front will come from the west on Tuesday, crossing over by Wednesday. Westerly winds will continue on Wednesday and Thursday, with high pressure building to the north. Another cold front is expected on Friday.
NT: A line of elevated land runs from the Tasman Sea to the Great Australian Bight, bringing a new area of high pressure on Thursday.
