QLD: A high-pressure system in the Tasman Sea will bring stable weather to eastern parts of the state. By mid-week, a trough will form over the central interior, bringing the chance of showers to southern inland areas.
NSW and ACT: A big area of high pressure in the Tasman Sea is stretching over NSW, bringing calm weather. It will slowly move eastwards, keeping things calm and bringing breezy winds from the ocean. A front will pass by to the south on Wednesday.
VIC: A high pressure system is sitting over Victoria, bringing stable weather. Weak troughs will move south of the state today and tomorrow. A new high pressure system will bring cooler southerly winds from Wednesday onwards.
SA: A strong high pressure system in the Tasman Sea is keeping things dry in South Australia. Another high pressure system moving in from the west will bring calm weather at the start of the week, with a chance of some showers in the southeast by mid-week.
WA: In northern Western Australia, a ridge to the south will keep the winds blowing from the east.
TAS: A strong high pressure system near New Zealand is bringing strong winds from the northwest to Tasmania, followed by a trough. A weaker high pressure system will move in before a cold front arrives on Tuesday, bringing more wind and rain. The wind will switch to westerly after the front passes.
NT: A high pressure system is moving across the Northern Territory from the Tasman Sea, with another high moving into the Great Australian Bight on Thursday.
