There may be more widespread showers in the Wet Tropics and far northeast Peninsula. There is also a chance of a thunderstorm in Torres Strait. Winds will be strong along the east coast and there could be dangerous surf conditions in southern Queensland. Temperatures will be higher than usual in inland southern Queensland but around average in other areas.
Saturday, 10th May
Today will be mostly sunny in the western part of Australia, with some scattered showers in the eastern interior from Roma to Georgetown. There will be isolated showers in other areas, becoming more widespread along the east coast and northern Peninsula. There may be thunderstorms in Torres Strait and strong winds along the east coast. The southern Queensland coast may experience hazardous surf conditions. Temperatures will be near or slightly below average, but warmer in the far southwest.
Sunday, 11th May
Today will be mostly sunny in the far southwest of Australia. There will be some clouds in the interior, with isolated showers expected north of Richmond and east of Augathella. Eastern districts and Far North Queensland may also see some showers, especially around the Wet Tropics and South East coast. There is a possibility of a thunderstorm in Torres Strait. Strong southeasterly winds will be present along the east coast. Temperatures are expected to be near or slightly below average.
Monday, 12th May
Partly cloudy in the southwest, with some showers spreading to the interior by Wednesday. Showers in the east and Far North, with a chance of more widespread showers on the North Tropical Coast and South East coast on Monday. Chance of a thunderstorm in Torres Strait. Temperatures near average, but warmer inland in southern and central Queensland.
