QLD 4 Day Forecast Summary

Monday, 5th May

Today will be partly cloudy in western areas from Hughenden to Charleville, with a slight chance of showers in the far west. Showers will be isolated to scattered in other areas, becoming more widespread at times on the Sunshine Coast and K'gari. The Cassowary Coast and northeast Peninsula can expect widespread showers, with the possibility of moderate falls. There is a chance of thunderstorms over Cape York Peninsula and the Torres Strait Islands north of Pormpuraaw and Coen. Maximum temperatures will be above average in the far west and southern inland regions, and near average elsewhere.

Tuesday, 6th May

Today will have some clouds in the far west and some showers in the central east, with more showers in the east and far north. There may be thunderstorms in the north. It will be warmer than usual in the south and around normal temperatures elsewhere.

Wednesday, 7th May

Today will have some clouds in the far west, with a few showers in the north near Charleville. There will also be some showers in eastern and Far North Queensland, spreading along the east coast and Peninsula, and potentially becoming more widespread around the islands from the Whitsundays to Hinchinbrook. There is a possibility of a thunderstorm north of Coen. Temperatures will be higher than usual in the south and central regions, and around average in other areas.

Thursday, 8th May

On Thursday, it will be mostly sunny in the central parts of Australia, but there will be some clouds in the far west and north. There might be some isolated showers in the northern regions and Cape York Peninsula. By Friday, showers will become more scattered along the North Tropical Coast and Peninsula, as well as the east coast. There is also a chance of thunderstorms in Cape York and Torres Strait. Temperatures will be higher than usual south of Townsville, but will return to normal in the following days.
