Sunday, 4th May

Today will be partly cloudy in some areas, with scattered showers likely in most places. There is a chance of more widespread showers along the South East coast. The northeast tropical coast could see heavier rainfall, with a chance of thunderstorms in the north. Expect strong winds along the east coast. Temperatures will be around average for this time of year, with slightly warmer conditions in the far west and southern interior.

Monday, 5th May

Today will be partially cloudy with a chance of showers in the far west of Queensland from Hughenden to Charleville. Showers will be isolated to scattered in most areas, becoming more widespread at times on the Sunshine Coast and K'gari. There will also be widespread showers in the northeast, with the possibility of moderate falls. There is a chance of a thunderstorm in northern Cape York Peninsula. Temperatures will be above average in the far west and inland southern Queensland, and near average in other areas.

Tuesday, 6th May

Today will be a mix of sun and clouds in the far west of Australia, with some scattered showers in the interior parts of Queensland. There will be isolated to scattered showers in the eastern and Far North Queensland, with a chance of thunderstorms in the far northern Cape York Peninsula. Temperatures will be near or slightly below average in the Far North, but near or above average in other areas.

Wednesday, 7th May

It will be a bit cloudy in the far west, with a few showers possible in inland Queensland from Quilpie to Mount Isa, but they should decrease by Thursday. There may be isolated showers in eastern and Far North Queensland, becoming more scattered along the east coast and Peninsula, and possibly widespread in the Wet Tropics and far northern Peninsula. There is a chance of a thunderstorm in the far northern Cape York Peninsula. Temperatures will be slightly cooler than usual in the northern Peninsula, but near or above average in other areas for the next few days.
