Queensland Synoptic

A ridge is currently stretching across the state, bringing with it increased onshore winds in the southeast which are leading to higher levels of rainfall. These winds are expected to ease off later today. On Saturday, a weak trough will make its way into the southwest before moving eastwards across southern Queensland and eventually moving off the southeast coast by Monday morning. Following the trough, a ridge will once again extend over the state and is set to linger for several days. This weather pattern suggests that residents can expect a mix of wet and dry conditions over the coming days, with potential for more rain in the southeast before the ridge settles in.
