A ridge is currently stretching across the state, bringing with it increased onshore winds in the southeast which are leading to higher levels of rainfall. On Saturday, a weak trough will make its way into the southwest before moving eastwards across southern Queensland and eventually moving off the southeast coast by Monday morning. Following the trough, a ridge will once again extend over the state and is set to linger for several days. This weather pattern suggests that residents can expect a mix of wet and dry conditions over the coming days, with potential for more rain in the southeast before the ridge settles in.
