Queensland Synoptic

A high-pressure system over the Tasman Sea is bringing stable weather conditions to most of Queensland, with a ridge extending over the region. However, a weak trough is expected to linger over the interior in the coming days, potentially bringing some unsettled weather. The high pressure, along with a weak Coral Sea trough, will result in moist onshore winds over the southeast on Thursday and Friday. A new trough is forecasted to move east across southern Queensland over the weekend, eventually moving off the east coast by Sunday afternoon. Following the trough, a new ridge will extend over the state, bringing more stable conditions. Overall, Queensland can expect a mix of weather patterns in the coming days, with some areas experiencing showers and potential thunderstorms.
