QLD: A big high near New Zealand is bringing warm weather to most of Queensland. There's a weak line of bad weather over the middle of the state for a few days. The high and another weak line of rain near the Coral Sea will bring wet winds to the southeast on Thursday and Friday. Another line of bad weather might move over southern Queensland on the weekend before heading out to sea on Sunday. After that, it should be sunny again.
NSW and ACT: A low-pressure system off the New South Wales coast will cause rainy weather along the coast and nearby mountains. It will move northeast, creating stable conditions in the southern part of the state. A cold front will arrive in the southwest on Friday, spreading eastward over the weekend.
VIC: A strong high pressure system near Tasmania will bring clear skies to Victoria. A low pressure trough from the west will bring some rain as the high moves east. A cold front will pass through on Friday and Saturday, followed by another front on Sunday.
SA: A strong high pressure system is to the east of Tasmania, creating stable weather over South Australia. A low pressure system is moving east across the Bight, losing strength as it approaches western Eyre Peninsula and the New South Wales border on Friday. A new high pressure system will form over the Bight starting Saturday.
WA: A big area of low pressure is near the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts with high pressure over the North Interior. A new area of high pressure will move over southern WA today, reaching the southern Pilbara and North Interior by Friday.
TAS: A dying cold front is coming from the west today and will sweep through the southern part of the state on Friday. A high-pressure ridge will cover the state from the west on Saturday, followed by a cold front on Sunday.
NT: In the Northern Territory, a high pressure system is bringing dry winds from the southeast, reducing rain and storms to the far north. A trough will pass through the south on Friday, bringing in a cool change for the weekend. A tropical low will linger in the Arafura Sea.
