Queensland Synoptic

An area of high pressure is set to bring calm and settled weather to eastern Queensland in the coming days. However, a trough stretching from the northern Coral Sea to a tropical low in the Arafura Sea may shift southward, bringing increased rainfall to Far North Queensland. In the eastern Tasman Sea, a deepening low will lead to rough seas and dangerous surf conditions along the southern coast of Queensland. Furthermore, a weak trough is expected to move into the southwestern region of Queensland later in the weekend or early next week. Residents in these areas should stay updated on weather warnings and be prepared for potential hazardous conditions.
