Queensland Synoptic

A high pressure system in the southern Tasman Sea is bringing stable weather to most of Queensland, although it is expected to weaken slightly by midweek. A trough over the northern Coral Sea is stretching across Papua New Guinea to the Arafura Sea, which will enhance rainfall in the tip of Cape York Peninsula and Torres Strait in the upcoming days. This trough may move south over the Peninsula towards the end of the week or over the weekend. Additionally, a low pressure system is forecasted to deepen over the Tasman Sea later in the week, causing significant swells to impact the east coast of Australia. Residents in these areas should stay updated on weather warnings and take necessary precautions.
