QLD: A high pressure system in the southern Tasman Sea will bring stable weather to most of Queensland for the next few days, with some weakening by midweek. A trough in the far northern Coral Sea will enhance rainfall in Cape York Peninsula and Torres Strait, possibly moving south later in the week. A low pressure system in the Tasman Sea will bring large swells to the east coast of Australia later in the week.
NSW and ACT: A strong weather system is moving over NSW from the Tasman Sea, bringing a mix of high pressure and low pressure areas. Expect a southerly change along the coast, weakening throughout the day. Another high pressure system will bring more stable conditions over the weekend. Watch for a low pressure system moving south over the Tasman Sea mid-week, causing southeasterly winds along the coast.
VIC: A big high pressure system near New Zealand is bringing warm air from the northeast to Victoria and NSW. This will last until Friday, when a weak low pressure system moves through Victoria. Another low pressure system is coming from the west on Saturday.
SA: A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is bringing stable weather to eastern South Australia this week. A low pressure system in the west will move eastward, then weaken before a stronger trough arrives on Friday. This system will bring rain to central and eastern parts of South Australia over the weekend.
WA: Tropical Cyclone Errol is north of Broome, heading west and getting stronger. It will turn east towards Kimberley coast, weakening. A trough in western Pilbara will move eastward slowly.
TAS: A ridge is hanging over Tasmania and will weaken today. There's a weak trough off the west coast moving across the state today, with another trough expected on Thursday. A low will form south of Eyre Peninsula on Friday, moving towards the west coast of Tasmania by Saturday.
NT: A ridge in the Northern Territory will bring dry weather to the Top End before weakening. A tropical low forming in the Arafura Sea could head towards the northeast Top End and Gulf of Carpentaria. Showers are expected in the southwest as a trough moves through the south over the weekend.
