A tropical low off the Kimberly coast is causing thick cloud and thunderstorms in the area, with a low pressure trough extending eastward. Another low pressure system and trough off the Northern Territory is also bringing thick cloud and thunderstorms to the Top End. Western and central Australia are covered in cloud, with a thick sheet of upper level cloud stretching from Western Australia to the Pilbara region due to a low pressure system. High pressure ridge is pushing low level cloud over the southeastern and eastern seaboard, with the rest of the country relatively cloud free.
