QLD: A big high in the Tasman Sea is bringing strong winds from the southeast to most of Queensland. A trough in the northern Coral Sea is causing more rain in Cape York Peninsula. Another trough in eastern Queensland will bring more showers to the southeast before moving away on Monday.
NSW and ACT: A bunch of high pressure systems down south will keep things mainly dry in New South Wales, but there will be some moisture coming in from the coast. A weak trough up north will stick around this weekend, followed by a wider trough moving in with cooler air on Tuesday.
VIC: A strong high pressure system near Tasmania will bring clear skies and calm weather to Victoria today. A weak cold front will pass through on Monday, followed by another high pressure system which will keep conditions stable until the end of the week.
SA: A big high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is bringing clear and stable weather to South Australia. This high will stick around for the next few days, keeping conditions calm and sunny.
WA: A big storm called tropical low 29U is heading towards the Kimberley region. It might become a cyclone by Monday, bringing strong winds and heavy rain. Another weather system is hanging around the Pilbara area.
TAS: A strong high pressure system near New Zealand will bring warm northwesterly winds to Tasmania on Sunday, followed by a weak cold front on Sunday night. A new high pressure system will then bring cool southeasterly winds on Monday, shifting to northerly winds on Tuesday. A weak trough will bring some instability on Wednesday.
NT: A high ridge is stretching from the Tasman Sea over the Northern Territory. A tropical low near Timor Sea is moving away from NT. Another weak low near Gove will move slowly north. A trough from this low to Arnhem Land will shift north as the ridge strengthens.
