QLD: A big high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is bringing dry and calm weather to most of Queensland. This high will continue moving eastward and be joined by another high from the south, keeping things dry. There's a trough in the far north, bringing rain to Cape York Peninsula until next week.

NSW and ACT: A strong high pressure system near New Zealand will keep things dry and sunny in New South Wales. There's a band of unsettled weather inland, with possible showers along the northern coast by the end of the week.

VIC: A big area of high pressure over the Tasman Sea is bringing warm winds from the north to Victoria. A weak area of low pressure in the west will move over the state on Thursday night and Friday. Another high pressure system will then move in from the southwest on Friday night, bringing more warm winds for the weekend.

SA: A weak line of low pressure in the west will move towards the east today and reach northeastern SA on Friday, while a high pressure system moves over the southern waters. The high will then move swiftly towards the Tasman Sea, keeping sunny and calm conditions over SA for the weekend.

WA: A large area of low pressure is sitting over the northern regions. This low pressure system will move towards the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts occasionally, as a high pressure system to the south intensifies, resulting in moderate to strong winds blowing from the east in the area.

TAS: A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is bringing warm winds from the northwest to Tasmania. A weak cold front will arrive on Thursday night, followed by another high pressure system on Friday. A weak front will pass through on Sunday.

NT: There will be clear skies in the southern part of the Northern Territory due to a ridge, while the northern areas can expect showers and thunderstorms. A tropical low near the Top End could bring more rain to the Tiwi Islands and Cobourg Peninsula in the coming days.
