Today will be mostly sunny in western and central Queensland below Hughenden. There may be some isolated showers in the eastern areas, becoming scattered north of Rockhampton. Showers could become widespread along the North Tropical Coast and northern Peninsula. There may also be isolated thunderstorms from Julia Creek to Mackay. There is a chance of severe thunderstorms with heavy rain between Hughenden and Normanton. Temperatures will be near or below average in the west and central areas, but slightly above average on the east coast and around average elsewhere.

Monday, 7th April

Today will be mostly sunny in western and inland Queensland below Hughenden. There will be isolated showers in the eastern areas, becoming scattered north of Townsville. Showers will likely become widespread along the North Tropical Coast and the northern Peninsula. There may be isolated thunderstorms from Croydon to Cooktown. Temperatures will be near or slightly below average in the west and inland regions, but closer to average or slightly above in the east.

Tuesday, 8th April

Today will be mostly sunny in western and inland Queensland below Hughenden. There may be a few isolated showers in the eastern areas, becoming more widespread north of Ingham and along the Southeast Coast. There could also be isolated thunderstorms in the Gulf Country and Peninsula from Normanton to Cooktown. Temperatures will be around normal for this time of year.

Wednesday, 9th April

Today, there will be mostly sunny weather over western and inland Queensland below Hughenden. There will be some scattered showers in the eastern areas. Showers could become more widespread in the northern Peninsula, possibly reaching Cairns on Friday with moderate rainfall. There may also be isolated thunderstorms in the Gulf Country and Peninsula north of Kowanyama to Laura. Temperatures will be around average for this time of year.
