NSW and ACT: A high pressure ridge is moving across the state from the west, bringing stable weather. Cold fronts will bring cooler temperatures and some showers to the south over the weekend. Another high pressure ridge will bring more settled weather to the south, while a trough in the west may bring some rain.
VIC: A cold front over central Victoria and Gippsland will move eastward today, followed by another cold front on Sunday. A high pressure system will then move in from the west early next week.
SA: A strong high pressure system is forming over the southern coast, bringing calm weather for the next few days. A cold front will pass through the far southeast tomorrow afternoon. The high pressure system will move eastward starting Tuesday.
WA: A band of low pressure near the west Pilbara coast will move eastward over the weekend. High pressure over the east Pilbara, North Interior, and Kimberley will weaken during the weekend, with more stable conditions expected into early next week.
TAS: A strong cold front will bring westerly winds on Saturday, followed by another front on Sunday. Southwesterly winds will continue on Monday, with high pressure moving over the mainland on Tuesday.
NT: A strong high pressure system over southwest Australia is bringing dry winds from the southeast to southern parts of the Northern Territory. The monsoon season is starting in the north, with a trough moving away from the Top End coast this weekend.
