QLD: A weather system is hanging over the southeast coast and another one is lingering in the southwest. In the next few days, the first system will move east with a low pressure system forming on Wednesday. A high pressure system will move in early next week.
NSW and ACT: A big storm near New South Wales will cause rain and strong winds along the coast. The weather will improve in the middle of the week as the storm moves away. In Queensland, a trough will bring rain to the north before moving south. Cold fronts will bring more rain later in the week.
VIC: A strong high-pressure system near the Great Australian Bight is causing clear skies and calm weather in Tasmania. A low-pressure system in the Tasman Sea will gradually move southeast, bringing some rain. A cold front will approach from the west on Wednesday, bringing cooler temperatures to Victoria.
SA: A big high pressure system near South Australia is shifting southeast today, bringing a mild cold front to the south on Wednesday. Another weak cold front will hit the southeast on Friday, followed by a new high pressure system moving into the Bight over the weekend.
WA: Ex-Tropical Cyclone Dianne is heading east into the Northern Territory. There's a stationary trough near the west Pilbara coast for most of the week.
TAS: A strong high pressure system near Tasmania and a deep low pressure system in the Tasman Sea are causing a southeasterly wind. The high will move south, leaving a weak ridge until a weak front passes on Wednesday. On Thursday, a southwesterly wind will develop as a new high moves in. By Friday, a stronger cold front will pass through.
NT: In the north of NT, there are heavy rain and storms due to the monsoon trough. The south is mostly dry because of a ridge. Ex-Tropical Cyclone Dianne is heading towards the NT/WA border and will lose strength when it reaches NT.
