QLD: A high pressure system will stay over eastern Queensland, while a low pressure system in western Queensland will bring in lots of moisture. The low pressure system will move slowly eastward, eventually dissipating off the southeast coast over the weekend. A weaker low pressure system might stick around northern Queensland next week, with a weaker high pressure system in southern Queensland.
NSW and ACT: High pressure systems in the south and east of the state are bringing stable weather, while a trough in the southwest is keeping things humid. A weak change is expected on the south coast. A low pressure system in western Queensland is moving south, bringing rain to the north and east. A trough will deepen into a low pressure system off the coast by the weekend.
VIC: A strong area of high pressure will dominate the State's weather until the weekend. On Saturday, the edge of a cold front passing Tasmania will affect the southern areas before another high pressure system moves in from the west.
SA: There's a slow-moving high-pressure system in the south and a trough in southwest Queensland causing some cloud cover in the northeast of South Australia. The high-pressure system will move east of Tasmania on Thursday, with another ridge extending over the southern coasts from the west.
WA: A weather system is hanging around the northern Kimberley region. Winds from the east to southeast are blowing over the Pilbara and North Interior due to a ridge in the south. A tropical low, 27U, is forming off the Pilbara coast but shouldn't affect WA directly. A possible new tropical low, 28U, could form near the Kimberley coast soon.
TAS: A strong high-pressure system is moving towards Tasmania from the west, bringing a weak cold front to the southeast today. The high will then pass over the state by Thursday before moving into the Tasman Sea on Friday. Another cold front will arrive on Saturday morning, starting on the west coast.
NT: A rainy weather pattern is forming in northern NT, with thunderstorms likely. In southern NT, expect cloudy skies due to humid winds. Overall, temperatures will be cooler than usual across the territory.
