Today, there will be rain and thunderstorms in most parts of the state, with some areas experiencing heavier rainfall. Central and southern Queensland, from Rockhampton to Quilpie, will mainly see showers. Temperatures will be around average in Cape York Peninsula, below average on the east coast, and well below average elsewhere.

Thursday, 27th March

Today, most of the state will experience scattered to widespread showers with occasional rain. There may be isolated thunderstorms from north of Mackay to Charleville. There is a chance of moderate to heavy rainfall in the central and southern interior, as well as around the Central Coast. Temperatures will be near average in Cape York Peninsula, below average on the east coast, and well below average elsewhere.

Friday, 28th March

Expect some rain in the far southwest, with showers spreading out to other areas. There may be some thunderstorms in the north. Central and southern Queensland could get some heavy rain, but it's hard to predict where exactly. Temperatures will be normal in the north, cooler on the coast, and much cooler elsewhere.

Saturday, 29th March

There will be some light rain in the far southeast of Australia, with scattered showers in other areas over the next few days. There will be widespread showers with occasional heavy rain in parts of eastern and northern Queensland this weekend. Temperatures will be normal in some areas and cooler in others.
