QLD: A high-pressure system will dominate the weather for the next few days, bringing stronger winds to the northeast coast. A trough in the west will move north towards Queensland by Wednesday, bringing wet weather and potentially turning into a monsoon trough.
NSW and ACT: A high pressure system is forming in the south and east, while a trough is losing strength along the north coast. Another trough will stretch across Queensland to northern New South Wales, with more troughs and fronts moving southward. Expect a brief cool change on the coast today and another later in the week.
VIC: A strong high pressure system near the Bight is spreading across Bass Strait to the Tasman Sea. This weather setup will likely stick around for most of the coming week.
SA: A light high-pressure system sits over the southern region, with a moist and unsettled tropical air mass in the northern area. These conditions will continue throughout the day, with the tropical air mass moving towards the east by early next week.
WA: A weather system is developing over the Kimberley region, bringing in some rain. Winds from the east to southeast are blowing over the Pilbara and North Interior areas due to a ridge in the south. A tropical low is forming north of the Pilbara coast and is expected to move southwestward, staying away from land.
TAS: A big high pressure system over the Bight is spreading a ridge over Tasmania. A weak cold front is on the way from the west, arriving later today. The high over the Bight will continue to bring calm weather to Tasmania on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
NT: A weak monsoon is bringing rain to the Top End with heavy rainfall in central and southern NT. A low over the Barkly will move into Queensland, causing thunderstorms to clear northwards. A monsoon trough will bring more rain to the north later in the week.
