The rain will be widespread at times and there could be severe thunderstorms with heavy rain further inland towards Winton. Temperatures will be lower than usual in the west, especially in the far southwest, but around normal in other areas.
Monday, 24th March
Today, there will be some rain and thunderstorms scattered throughout the state, mainly turning into just rain in the east below Ingham. The rain will become more widespread at times, with heavier rainfall inland towards Longreach and the North Tropical Coast. There is a chance of severe thunderstorms with heavy rain near Winton. Temperatures will be around average in the east and Cape York Peninsula, but below average in other areas, especially inland in the west.
Tuesday, 25th March
Today, there will be some rain and thunderstorms in different parts of the state, especially in the east and south. The rain may be heavy in some areas, particularly in the west and northeast coast. The temperatures will be around normal in the southeast and Cape York Peninsula, but cooler in other areas, especially further inland.
Wednesday, 26th March
There will be some showers spread out across the state, with isolated thunderstorms to the north of Hughenden. There may be moderate to heavy rain in northern Queensland and the Central Coast. Temperatures will be around normal in the far south and Cape York Peninsula, but cooler than usual inland.
